Funny story…Steve Burns was known in my household for his album Songs for Dustmites far more than he was known for his stint as the host of Blues Clues. Of course once my son came along and discovered Steve and his puppy pal, Steve’s presence in our home doubled. That’s quite a feat to entertain both the parent and child, which can’t be said of most of those maladjusted folks peddling their wackiness to kids…
Anyway, while patiently awaiting his follow-up album, I regularly visit steveswebpage for any signs of activity. I was pleasantly surprised to find out about this awesome experiment Steve and his band performed in which the audience gets to choose the story and the songs by using laser pointers to make their choice on the wall. As far as I’m concerned Steve can take all the time he wants on the new album, as long as he’s exploring great new ideas like this one.
