Illustration Friday: Night

Ah night. A mysterious world that twists our minds into dreams of falling naked and landing on a seatless bicycle in front of our junior high school algebra class. A cold and dark place filled with all the creatures that fear the daylight hour. When we stay up far too late, driven by a need to complete our latest Illustration Friday entry before it becomes too late to do so. Thursday afternoon, is too close to the deadline, why bother. Must get it done! If this creature gets ahold of the moon, we're screwed. Sleep tight friends, for tomorrow there may be a piece of the moon on your doorstep, along with some monster poo big enough to cover your car.

Very cool illo and great story- I wonder what it would look like to find a bot of the moon on my doorstep - chalky, dusty or just a big piece of cheese?
What I rreally like about the illusttration is that the compostion and graphic elements give that look of a Russian industrialism poster. Like the ones back in the good old days. Anyway, great work!
PS: thanks for stopping off at my blog, too

The piece goes very well with the words, but honestly I think I love the description more LOL. I love the part you said about trying to complete Illustration Friday before the deadline, I think I did think of that too, I was hoping to find some great meanings behind every theme and it's such a great exercise to our mind. Great job !

Hey D-Rock! You do! (Rock, that is)

That is great! especially because I think I know what the inspiration is -- a certain holiday release that is about a big hairy ape made by a (formerly) big hairy director?

Great work. Your style is great!
